Leschi Elementary PTA

Welcome!

The Leschi Elementary PTA serves the Leschi Elementary School Community and works for the health, welfare, safety, education, care, and protection of children in the home, school, and community.

We invite all families to work with us to:

  • Learn more about what’s happening at school at PTA meetings, community events, and in direct communication with the principal, teachers and staff throughout the year. All are welcome at PTA meetings (regardless of membership) – meetings will be announced and posted on the school calendar.

  • Confront and dismantle systemic racism in all its forms, within Seattle Public Schools and our own school community, including our PTA. We are committed to amplifying Black and Brown voices and centering equity in every decision.

  • Volunteer at school and at home. We help in classrooms, in the office, at events, improving the school grounds, communicating with families, and as representatives of the school in district-wide decisions. Whether you have one hour a month or one hour a day, volunteers are essential to our success.

  • Raise money to support students and families in our community; our funds supplement teaching materials, professional development, technology, community events, after-school programs, family support services, equity initiatives, and much, much more!

  • Get to know each other and have fun as a school family. During a school year, we host and/or help with the All-School Family Dance, Fall Festival, Taste of Leschi, Giving Garland, Black History Month celebration, Jog-a-thon, Teacher Appreciation Week, yearbook, school website, after school enrichment opportunities, and more. We are committed to strengthening our community ties.

We’re looking forward to working with you!
