Community Gathering: Planting the Seeds Series, part 2. Functional Food with Chef Sabrina Tinsley

Following a short PTA business meeting, Principal Ramsey will be in attendance to give a current Principal Update. The majority of this evening will be spent with our special guest, Chef Sabrina Tinsley.

Chef Sabrina graciously is offering her time to share ways to prepare a meal with your family. Kids are welcome to attend and learn alongside their caregivers. We will be giving boxes with the recipes and ingredients for each family to take home and prepare on your own as families.

Chef Sabrina Tinsley is the executive chef and co-owner of Osteria la Spiga , a cornerstone of Seattle’s Capitol Hill dining scene, serving cuisine of Emilia Romagna, Italy since 1998. She recently opened La Dispensa, a fresh take on the magic of the Italian deli. Besides sharing her passion for Italian food, she donates her time as a mentor to aspiring culinary professionals and has contributed time and resources to diversity programs advocating for female chefs and chefs of color. Among these programs is Future of Diversity which she started in 2021 offering her platform to emerging chefs of color for pop-up events at La Spiga.

We are also lucky to partner with Clean Greens, a local farm and market dedicated to making organic produce widely available & easily accessible to all people in the community. Organizer, Brione Scott is available to help if you are in need of produce.

Purchase your CSA boxes of local organic produce for the upcoming spring season here.

You won’t want to miss this special opportunity to gather with our community and “plant our seeds of knowledge" in a new way!
